Louise Sennesh is
an artist living in Virginia. She primarily works in acrylic but uses other media as well. She received her Masters of Fine
Arts in Painting from George Washington University where she won two awards, one of which was the Alfred N. Alfandre Purchase
Prize. She started out as a portraitist but became more interested in experimental textures and expressionistic color. Landscape
and abstraction lended themselves naturally to these techniques. Texture is essential to produce the multiple layers of color
and simplify forms. She has shown her work throughout the east coast and has had two paintings included in the Art in Embassies
Program.
